| Abstract | Laboratory and pilot plant tests showed that a synthetic carbonaceous adsorbent, Ambersorb 563, was more efficient than granular activated carbon (GAC) in removing trichloroethene (TCE) from groundwater. Since synthetic adsorbents can be regenerated on-site they appear to be a cost-effective alternative for GAC especially for small water utilities. |
