| Abstract | WASHCost global infosheet 3 narrates WASHCost's general findings on rural water services, which have led to the team's development of cost benchmarks of providing a basic service level. In particular, development of WASHCost cost benchmarks on water were based on findings on the level of service received by communities living in rural and peri-urban countries; user interaction with boreholes and handpump schemes; and user interaction with piped schemes. This infosheet concludes with a list of suggested actions to undertake in continuing WASHCost's work. |
