Abstract	The Act establishes the Water Resources Commission, and defines its functions; WRC is to ensure the sustainable management of the country’s water resources. Under the act the property in and control of all water resources is vested in the President on behalf of, and in trust for the people of Ghana. No person shall divert, store, Abstract or use water resources, or construct or maintain any works for the use of water resources except with the prior grant of a right by the commission.
