| Abstract | Arthik Samata Mandal (ASM) began as an unregistered group founded by two of Mahatma Ghandi's close associates, and has developed into a formal organization that bases its approach to development work on Ghandian principles. Their main goal is to reach the disadvantaged without creating opportunities for misuse by the advantaged. This project proposal is for a third generation project in water supply, sanitation and health education in the Nalgonda District of India. The proposal stresses development and enhancement of existing water systems, and the construction of new sanitation facilities. The constitution of the ASM and the goals of the organization are presented in the Appendix. |
