| Abstract | This literature review and selected and annotated bibliography deals with the planning and evaluation of the community water supply and sanitation sector. A general introduction, based on the systems approach to the sector, is followed by a brief review of the sector's environment. In the third section eight sector components are discussed: planning, legislation, financing, manpower, technology, community participation, and information. The next sections discuss the sector planning process and planning methods and techniques. The last section contains 197 references of which 110 are annotated. |
