| Abstract | This report reviews the conversations that were during the Presidential Dialogue on WASH in Uganda conducted by the Ministry of Water and Environment and the Uganda Parliamentary Forum on WASH on October 10, 2024, at the Parliament of Uganda as well as the commemoration of the Global Handwashing Day on October 14, 2024, at Namboole. On both occasions, the Government's commitment to the WASH sector was emphasized, underscoring the critical role of high-level discussions to advance the WASH agenda in Uganda. The 1st Presidential Dialogue on WASH was a significant event focused on addressing critical issues within the WASH sector and promoting collaboration among sector players. Coinciding with Global Handwashing Day (GHWD), the event aimed to emphasize the importance of hand hygiene practices in enhancing public health outcomes. |
