| Abstract | This training package is aimed at UNICEF professional staff who are in charge of the water and sanitation component of a country programme. The package can be used individually or in a workshop setting. Workshops can be conducted in 6 days for 20-30 participants. The participant manual consists of 8 modules subdivided into a total of 29 sessions. The 8 modules are: 1. Capacity building (incl. monitoring, economic aspects, human resource development and gender issues) ; 2. Integration of water, sanitation and hygiene education ; 3. Low cost options ; 4. Community management ; 5. Inter-sectoral linkages ; 6. Hygiene education ; 7. Sanitation ; and 8. Mobilising support. |
