| Abstract | This document describes in brief the work done at a regional workshop on participatory methods for monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation activities. Its objective was: a. to review and refine the participatory evaluation framework and supporting documents developed by the program for the Promotion of the Role of Women in Water and Environmental Services (PROWWESS) at UNDP; b. to explore and develop tools that can be used by community people themselves for monitoring and evaluative purposes; and, c. to identify subsequent action plans, applied research, and training requirements to promote and implement this approach. |
